This painting has all the elements that make a landscape painting outrageously attractive. Nature in autumn with the different colours that come with the changing leaves, a place as beautiful and picturesque as a canal in Amsterdam, with its waterways and boats. Finally, a bright and clear day, luminous and colourful, with only these marvellous flowers in the foreground missing.

For a painting to be breathtaking, it is just as important for it to be technically well executed as for the motif to be really well chosen. That it is suggestive, that it has a good framing, that the colours communicate emotions?

Thus, we can find many paintings of Amsterdam by many different painters, but there will probably be very few that meet the characteristics mentioned above.

  • My experience

The accumulated experience in impressionist painting, which makes the paintings of recent years look far above those made by the vast majority of impressionist painters who paint nature today.

  • The Gift

Since I was little I had an innate ability to draw very well. Surely it is a gift, like the one my painter grandmother Carmen Gandía also had.

  • The Place

In Europe there are many cities that are really beautiful. Among all of them, and beyond my city, Barcelona, I would highlight 3 that marked me deeply for their natural beauty: Venice, Amsterdam and Prague.

  • Rafael Polonio

I have commissioned to Miquel some paintings. His exhibitions are getting better and better, gaining in quality, in light. Whatever the discipline he proposes, I admire most is the realism and the life he breathes into them, without a doubt his personal touch. He makes the difficult easy.

  • Imma Bello

We met Miquel Cazaña in 2013. We were immediately struck by the luminosity of his work. His treatment of light seems to catch the moment. On the other hand, the intense colour of his painting invades the space in which it is exhibited. Thank you Miquel for filling our house with light.

  • Rosa Maria Bachs

I have known Miquel since 2004 and have followed him since his beginnings. I admire in his work, the psychological capture of different environments and characters, the perspective of the colour, the preciousness of the detail, the light and the freshness of the brushstroke.
