This is how I see the entrance to the Señorío de Bertiz Natural Park, in the north of Navarre. A space of warm, misty and welcoming luminosity, in the midst of a natural setting of incomparable beauty. It is like an entrance to the promised land where everything is beauty and light.

The majestic trees in this area are so tall that their canopies form a tunnel through which the light streams in, illuminating our path.

  • The light

All painters say that the most important thing in their paintings is the light, but in few of them the light is really something decisive. This painting is the light itself; the light emanates from everywhere on an path that seems to be heading towards infinity.

  • The uniqueness

There are many paintings of forest paths but very few are as concise as this one. Just a few trees on either side of the path, a few colours that oscillate gently between a lemon yellow and a soft turquoise. Sometimes being concise and direct is a great asset.

  • The isnpiration

This generalised and profuse cascade of light, emanating mainly from the sky but reflected everywhere, ends up conveying a sense of lucidity and inspiration that is frankly pleasing to the eye and to the senses.

  • Rafael Polonio

I have commissioned to Miquel some paintings. His exhibitions are getting better and better, are gaining in quality, in light. Whatever the discipline he proposes, although what I admire most is the realism and the life he breathes into them, without a doubt his personal touch. In my opinion he makes the difficult easy.

  • Imma Bello

We met Miquel Cazaña in 2013. We were immediately struck by the luminosity of his work. His treatment of light seems to catch the moment. On the other hand, the intense colour of his painting invades the space in which it is exhibited. Thank you Miquel for filling our house with light.

  • Rosa Maria Bachs

I have known Miquel since 2004 and have followed him since his beginnings. I admire in his work, the psychological capture of different environments and characters, the perspective of the colour, the preciousness of the detail, the light and the freshness of the brushstroke.
