If there is one thing that makes me feel good, it is the musicians who break into our street strolls to liven them up with music played with dedication and talent. In this case, although it is an invented composition, we see a street in El Borne in Barcelona that I had once passed through.

There were three elements that I immediately imagined in this scene: a black musician playing a saxophone in a good coat, a cat in the foreground caught in his path, and a Harley Davidson parked in the distance. These three elements are home-grown but completely change the meaning of the painting. They turn a nondescript night street into a suggestive scene that directly challenges us.

The rest merely accompanies the moment. As on so many other occasions, the tones of elements such as the reddish ground or the turquoise of the wall are emphasised without falling into sweetening or reiteration. Just enough to give a more attractive touch that takes us away from photorealism.

All prints are manufactured and shipped by the company

Defective or damaged
products

If you receive a defective or damaged print or errors in the number or quantity
of the delivered products, or lack of quality of the delivered product, please contact
me at miquel.cazanya@gmail.com within 30 days. We will cover the costs of the new order.

Lost Orders Policy

For packages lost in transit, please get in touch with me (miquel.cazanya@gmail.com) within 30 days from the estimated delivery date. Gelato will send you a replacement order on your behalf.

Return Policy
Returned by Customer

We currently don't support returns because the products you order are personalized and made specifically for each order. Should you want to submit a new order, you will be liable for the costs of the new order. 

Returned to Sender Policy

For these cases, please place a new order and get in touch with me (miquel.cazanya@gmail.com) so that Gelato can report the problem and arrange for the product price to be refunded for the new order. This way, you will only pay again for the shipping of the order. 

Wrong Address

If you provide an address considered insufficient by the courier, the shipment
will be returned and disposed of safely. Should you want to submit a new order with an updated address, you will
be liable for the costs of the new order.

Unclaimed

If you are not able to receive your order at the address, the shipments may be available for pick up at your local post office or carrier pick up point.
Shipments that go unclaimed may be returned to the sender.

For these cases, please place a new order and get in touch with us so that we can report the problem and arrange for the product price to be refunded for the new order (you will still have to pay for the shipping costs).

Why is it Unique?

  • The subtlety of the atmosphere

    It is neither too warm nor too cold. It is a painting which is pleasant and unique in its combination of slightly pink and red tones with others which are slightly bluish and dazed.

  • The serenity it conveys

    It is a painting that reduces our anxiety because of the calmness transmitted by the atmosphere and the characters that appear in the street. Also this peaceful music that we imagine through the saxophone of our protagonist.

  • Its nod to jazz

    The majority of paintings about jazz are either technically poor or uninspiring. In my case, the paintings I have made about jazz are interesting and faithfully reflect what we feel when we listen tyo jazz.
