This spectacular painting made and sold in 2019 brought out all the architectural and artistic potential of the wonderful city of Donostia-San Sebastian. It is a view from the Tabakalera Arts Centre building, from where we see the end of the Urumea River and a panoramic view of the city, with Monte Igeldo and the island of Santa Clara in the background.

There are some elements that make this picture special. In addition to those mentioned above, there is the Maria Cristina Bridge, a remarkable sight inspired by the Alexander III Bridge in Paris, the picturesque Ferris wheel on the left hand side, and finally the time of day, with a light orange or yellowish mist that inspires a certain romantic melancholy.

    All prints are manufactured and shipped by the company

    Defective or damaged
    products

    If you receive a defective or damaged print or errors in the number or quantity
    of the delivered products, or lack of quality of the delivered product, please contact
    me at miquel.cazanya@gmail.com within 30 days. We will cover the costs of the new order.

    Lost Orders Policy

    For packages lost in transit, please get in touch with me (miquel.cazanya@gmail.com) within 30 days from the estimated delivery date. Gelato will send you a replacement order on your behalf.

    Return Policy
    Returned by Customer

    We currently don't support returns because the products you order are personalized and made specifically for each order. Should you want to submit a new order, you will be liable for the costs of the new order. 

    Returned to Sender Policy

    For these cases, please place a new order and get in touch with me (miquel.cazanya@gmail.com) so that Gelato can report the problem and arrange for the product price to be refunded for the new order. This way, you will only pay again for the shipping of the order. 

    Wrong Address

    If you provide an address considered insufficient by the courier, the shipment
    will be returned and disposed of safely. Should you want to submit a new order with an updated address, you will
    be liable for the costs of the new order.

    Unclaimed

    If you are not able to receive your order at the address, the shipments may be available for pick up at your local post office or carrier pick up point.
    Shipments that go unclaimed may be returned to the sender.

    For these cases, please place a new order and get in touch with us so that we can report the problem and arrange for the product price to be refunded for the new order (you will still have to pay for the shipping costs).

    Why is it Unique?

    • It has all the charm of the city

      The vast majority of paintings of Donosti are flatter, more vague in their descriptions and more impersonal. Here, with decisive strokes of palette knife and brush, we see the essence of the city perfectly defined; the Frenchified air of its buildings, the shapes of the beautiful María Cristina bridge and the symbolic mountains that enclose the beach of La Concha.

    • The panoramic perspective

      This is a privileged view that allows you to see everything mentioned in the previous point. There are no paintings from this place and even less paintings that cover the Buen Pastor cathedral, the bridge, the island or this beautiful Ferris wheel installed in a circumstantial way.

    • An atmosphere that grabs you

      There are days when the fog does not allow the sun to shine in all its splendour, but which at the same time create a light and an atmosphere of immense beauty. This is one of those days, when a painter can emphasise a slightly ochre light and work out a beautiful atmosphere that seems to capture a precious period image.
