This view of the Vatican from the Tiber River was one of the most spectacular works of 2019. Created and sold in the same year, it shows a gentle and pleasant sunset overlooking the Vittorio Emanuele II Bridge and the architectural ensemble behind it, with the solemn dome of the Vatican presiding over the panorama as it catches the last rays of sunlight.

The original work, executed in oil on wood with palette knife and brush, is deeply inspiring for the state of well-being and calm it conveys.

  • For its peace

The violet and orange tones are very soft and form a gradient that envelops you in a moment of maximum tranquillity and supreme mental balance. The fact that everything is horizontal only multiplies this experience of peace.

  • For its solemnity

All the architectural elements that appear from the first terms are well placed. In the last term, the dome of the Vatican, totally centred and capitulating the landscape, seems a symbol of firm resistance in front of this impressive infinite sky.

  • For its veracity

It is a specific time of day and shows us specific tones. Not too strident and not too dull.
The architecture becomes clearer as it approaches the horizon as a function of giving way to others that gradually melt into a sense of depth.

  • Rafael Polonio

I have commissioned to Miquel some paintings. His exhibitions are getting better and better, are gaining in quality, in light. Whatever the discipline he proposes, although what I admire most is the realism and the life he breathes into them, without a doubt his personal touch. In my opinion he makes the difficult easy.

  • Marc Gasset

The years have gone by but my friendship with Miquel has grown as has the quality of his work. He is a great artist, with a personal touch in each creation that makes him unmistakable.

  • Imma Bello

We met Miquel Cazaña in 2013. We were immediately struck by the luminosity of his work. His treatment of light seems to catch the moment. On the other hand, the intense colour of his painting invades the space in which it is exhibited. Thank you Miquel for filling our house with light.
